Job Description:
The Title Research and Clearing Manager is responsible for leading a team of highly skilled research professionals in delivering title curative and support services. This team will provide the critical title review and curative work to support the sale of large inventories of residential and commercial properties located across the United States. The ability to meet aggressive deadlines, and an in depth knowledge of real estate documents and the contract closing process are essential, as is the ability to transfer knowledge to staff and create a high performing team. This position may be called upon to serve as expert witness in real property litigation.
Qualifications
- 10 years of comprehensive experience in the real property title research and clearing, including strong understanding of legal issues affecting real property title and the curative measures to ensure marketable titles. Must have excellent understanding of real property records and title company processes and how to obtain information from these and other sources to rapidly and completely clear title.
- Knowledge and experience in analyzing legal documents including property, boundary surveys, property liens to determine ownership, identify issues and implement title curative measures.
- Ability to lead a team to deliver agreed upon results.
- Demonstrated experience in implementation of policy and procedures.
- Ability to manage work flow of staff, evaluate performance and drive process improvements.
