Job Description:
The REO Sales Manager is a senior manager responsible for leading a team of REO Specialists in the valuation of portfolios of real property assets and the successful disposition of the properties. Responsibilities include contract administration of a complex inventory of residential and commercial assets in various stages of delinquency that are located throughout the United States. Demonstrated financial acumen and analytical capabilities are essential as each asset will be evaluated and a disposition plan developed and implemented. The manager must possess the ability to identify qualified vendors to perform subcontracted services, including property and lease management and tenant relations. The Sales Manager will also train, evaluate and motivate a team to meet aggressive timelines for asset disposition and achieve financial results.
Qualifications
- Four year business, accounting or equivalent degree from an accredited university and five (5) years or more of managerial/supervisory experience in either financial services or the mortgage industry including accounting, operations and systems.
- Excellent understanding of all financial institution assets and liabilities with a knowledge of financial institution accounting reports including the depreciation schedules, amortizing asset accounts, intangible assets and REO related liabilities.
- Ability to read, analyze and comprehend title insurance policies and title commitments, legal descriptions, contracts, leases, boundary surveys, REO broker reports, environmental reports and assessments, etc.
- Demonstrated experience in working with brokerage and REO property management companies on complex assets and in maintaining and monitoring compliance with existing contractual obligations.
